Instrument Stocktake

How to use the Stocktake feature in Music Monitor

Overview

The stocktake function in Music Monitor's Resources module is very simple. It just has a field called Last Date Checked that can have a date entered. The value of it is that you can check off the items on your inventory, and then easily pull up a list of those that are checked, or those that are not.

You can conduct a stocktake of any type of Resources you have entered in Music Monitor (except Rooms).

The Process

In the Resources Menu, the Stocktake icon is in the bottom right corner.

There you simply enter the reference number for an item - either by typing or by scanning a barcode.

Once entered, the item will be checked off immediately.

The date checked will appear on the item's Borrowing History.

The date will remain on the record until over-written with a new date.

Therefore, when performing a stocktake, the search for checked or unchecked items will ask you how far back to look for checked dates.

That way you can limit your search to records that were checked in your current stocktake.
