Overview
You can use Music Monitor as your asset register. Most of its functioning is built around working with individual or limited sets of records. This script gives you a printout of the full register.
It lists assets in categories and displays description, purchase date, and purchase price. It also displays the purchase price Total, allowing you to calculate the total value of your department's assets.
The Script
When you select this script, the computer will automatically work through a number of steps:
First it will enter FIND mode where you can specify your criteria. You will notice that the Category field already has 'Instruments' selected.
To display ALL and ONLY instruments, select Continue at the top right.
To include a limited range of instruments, select options in the Department or Category 2 fields and then select Continue.
To include all categories of resources, delete the word "Instruments" and then select Continue.
It will then find Resources records according to your search criteria and display them in a list, sorted by Category (i.e. Instruments, Music, Other), Sub-category (eg. clarinet, violin, etc.) and Description.
If you have the list you want, select Continue in the top bar.
It will then go to the Asset Register layout and show the records in 'Preview' mode.
If you are happy with the result of your search, select the Save as PDF or Print icon at the top of the screen.
When you select Continue at the top right of the screen the script will end and close the window (so don't select that button until you've saved or printed as needed).
