A reminder of the terminology used in this module.
Report Type: The overall design of the report, chosen from a list of options.
Template: A copy of any particular Report Type, with a particular Subject or Ensemble Name attached to it.
Reports Session: A batch of reports created from your Templates for individual enrolments, usually for a specified teaching session, e.g. a particular semester.
Choose A Report Type
Music Monitor has a number of available Report Types for you to use in your Student Assessment Reports. Each of these has been created for a specific school but they can be adapted and used by other schools.
Your choice of Report Type determines the overall layout of the report and number and style of the questions (that is, whether they're marked out of 5, text answers, etc.) The content of the questions themselves is chosen later. You can view PDF samples of the Report Types at Common Tasks > Assessment Reports > View sample reports, but some examples are below.
If you would like your own Report Type built in to Music Monitor, get in touch with the team! New ones can usually be incorporated at a very reasonable cost.
It's usual to use the same Report Type for all your reports, but it's possible to use more if you choose. Once you have chosen the Report Type you wish to use, you need to create a Template from that design, and then replicate it for each Subject and Ensemble that will require a report.
See Set Up Assessment Report Templates for guidance on the next step.
