In Music Monitor, campuses are physically separate locations on which regular scheduled lessons take place.

Music Monitor can support multi-campus schools. A school may need Music Monitor to recognise its separate campuses in a few ways:

Schools that are not multi-campus in the usual sense also have options to use the Campus field for other related purposes.

To enable the multi-campus functionality, the Music Monitor team needs to set a setting in your file, so contact us if you need that to be changed.

If your students are allocated to campuses, this will usually be reflected in your main SIS that Music Monitor imports the student data from. We simply need to ensure that this field is imported so that your Music Monitor records show the campus.

You can assign a Campus to your Room records. If both Student and Room records have a Campus assigned, you will not be able to schedule students into rooms from a campus other than their own.

You can assign one or more Campus entries to Staff records.

For music administrators, if you also assign the "Campus-Specific" Privilege Set to their Login Accounts, they will only be able to administer activities relating to their assigned Campus.

For music teachers, the Campus entry helps you identify teachers belonging to particular campuses, and allows for features that will be developed in the future.

Some institutions may need to use this field in a slightly different way. For example, NSW regional conservatoriums often deliver lessons at nearby schools. By setting the school as a "campus", you can use rotating lessons and ensure that the rotation will be restricted to timeslots available at that school.

In this setup, you would NOT assign a Campus to Students, but only to Rooms.

If you have another situation where you need to differentiate physical locations, the Campus field may be helpful. We recommend you check with the Music Monitor team if you're not sure.
