Overview
Music Monitor opens on the Home Menu. This is the central hub of Music Monitor navigation and remains an open window as long as Music Monitor is open.
All administrative users see the above screen as their Home Menu.
Teachers see a simpler screen.
Functions
Icons on the Main Screen
The icons allow navigation to almost all functions you will use.
People gives options to view Students, Staff, Other Contacts, or Debtors.
Custom File, if enabled, gives access to any customisations your school has installed.
Common Tasks give access to lists of scripts for completing tasks.
Resources gives options to manage resources including instruments.
Dashboard gives basic daily statistics.
Today opens the Music Monitor calendar in a list format.
Accounts gives options to manage external finances, particularly student charges.
New Calendar opens the Music Monitor calendar in a traditional calendar format.
Room Usage displays rooms and their related calendar entries.
Buttons Along the Top
In the black bar at the top are some buttons with more specific functions or further navigation options.
Charge Sheet - if you are a teacher, this button allows you to submit a claim for additional paid work. It is also visible to administrators in certain circumstances.
Change to TEACHER view allows you to select a teacher and view Music Monitor as though you were that teacher.
Exit System logs you out and closes FileMaker.
Office Admin gives options for procedure modules.
Setup Files allows access to each of the setup or codes files.
Student Activity allows access to each of the student activity files.
Navigation Map opens the visual system menu.
Settings (the gear icon) gives access to multiple settings menus.
Information (the i icon) gives information about your system and current login session.
Help (the question mark icon) links to the Music Monitor Knowledge Base.
Buttons Along the Bottom
At the bottom of the screen are two green buttons.
Upcoming Workshops & Webinars displays the workshops and webinars page of the Music Monitor website.
Feature Requests displays the feature request page of the Music Monitor website.
