Overview
This article is addressed to music teachers.
Music Monitor's Feedback module is attached to the Attendance records - accessible from the rolls - and allows you to write a note, attach a file, and email these to the family contacts of the student.
Watch the video above or read the guidance below.
The module exists alongside the more formal Student Assessment Reports module - see Manage Assessment Reports.
Write and Send Feedback
To add feedback about a student's lesson, open your roll, select the lesson to open that record, and then select the black Parent Feedback button.
There you can enter the text of the feedback note and attach a file if desired.
Tip: If you also use Lesson Notes, you can enter a lesson note first. Then, while the cursor is still in the Lesson Notes field, select the Parent Feedback button and the text of your note will populate automatically into the Feedback field. Edit it further if you wish.
Send the Feedback
To send the feedback, select the Email to parent button. This will create an email that has your text in the body, ready for you to send. It will include the student's family contacts in the BCC field.
Note: If you're using FileMaker Go or FileMaker Pro, any attachment you added to your feedback will be added as an attachment to the email. If you're using WebDirect (running the system in a web browser), the attachment will be saved in Music Monitor, but will not attach automatically to the email so you'll have to attach it there as well.
Once you have finished, select Save & Close.
Note: The only opportunity to send this feedback is when you create it. You can view this feedback again later, but you cannot edit or send it later.
View Past Feedback
To see the feedback you have left before for this enrolment, select the black All Feedback button.
You can export the feedback shown here as a PDF if you wish.
