Overview
This only applies if you calculate payroll information in Music Monitor based on roll marking, and your pay period ends mid-week. If you don't calculate payroll information in Music Monitor, or if you use Averaged Pays, or if your pay period ends at the end of a week, this does not apply.
The Salaries (Roll Marking) process involves importing Attendance records into the Salaries module. If your pay periods are full weeks, you can import records based on their Week Commencing date. But if your pay period ends on a different day of the week, you have the option to import records based on the Lesson Date.
Both options will import records that have a date LESS THAN either the selected week commencing or lesson date.
Setup
The only difference in setup between this option and using the Week Commencing date is that all Attendance records must have a Lesson Date entered. If you use the Calendar consistently in scheduling, this should generally be complete.
The next section includes a step to check and complete any records lacking data in this field.

Check Lesson Date Entries
The payroll process includes a step to Preview/Edit Attendance Records.
To identify records that have no Lesson Date entered, we recommend you first conduct a search with the following criteria:

Date Paid: =
This will find all records not yet exported to payroll that do not have a Lesson Date. Best case, you won't have any at all.
If any records are found, check whether they should have a Lesson Date entered. Note that if no lesson is scheduled, there should not be a date set. This would happen if, for example, a student has fortnightly lessons and this is the off week.
If a date is needed, you can enter it directly in this screen.
Then select Find in the black top bar to conduct your main search of Attendance records to check they've been marked.
Import by Lesson Date
When you come to the step to import the records, you select Import Attendance Records as usual.
In the window that opens, select the Use Lesson Date button at top right to switch from the default Week Commencing find screen to the Lesson Date find screen
The search is for LESS THAN the date entered, so the date you enter must be the first date you do not want to include.
Then proceed with the payroll process as normal.
