Overview
This article only describes resetting passwords. For other login issues, see Login Issues.
Password Reset
In Music Monitor, you cannot trigger a password reset for yourself. Someone else needs to log in and reset your password for you.
External Authentication
If you sign into Music Monitor using your school credentials, through Microsoft or Google, etc., your password is managed in that system, so you must reset it in the same way you would reset your overall school login password.
Direct Login
If you log into Music Monitor using the password dialogue (or a saved password in FileMaker), your password is stored in the Music Monitor system. Users who can reset your password for you are those with the following Privilege Sets:
Music Admin Full - this is the usual access level for music administration staff
System Support - IT staff may have this access level
Super Admin - this may be an individual or be a shared account available to a few users as needed
A user with one of these access levels can reset your password with the following steps:
Go to Home > Settings > Manage Login Accounts
Select your user account in the list
Select the red Re-set password for selected account button in the black top bar
Choose a temporary password for you and advise you what it is
You will then need to log in using that temporary password. You will immediately be required to choose your own password.
Change Your Own Password
Note that when you are logged in, you can change your own password regardless of your Privilege Set.
Go to Home > Settings > Change Password
Enter a new password
