Proofs can be used to review a set of records, for example billing line items from a particular billing run. But they also come in handy as general summary reports and printouts.
Found at Common Tasks > Quick reports > Loans & Hire Proof.
This script displays finds Loans & Hire records and displays a list, summarised by Campus, Hire Description and Instrument.
The script opens the Loans & Hire file on a Find screen.
The pre-set search will find all current loans and hires. You can restrict it by adding more criteria to this search request, or expand it by adding a new search request (for example if you want to include Pending records as well).
Select Continue at top right of screen to preview the report. There you can Print or Save as PDF. To save as Excel, select Continue at the top right of the screen, and you will be given this option.
If you wish to change the sort order or view records in more detail, select Cancel at the top right of the screen and the script will halt, allowing you to manipulate the settings, or jump to different screens. (To get back to the Summary layout, select Hire Summary from the layout drop-down list)
