Overview
This script does one very specific job. If you wish to know which of your current Tuition students are not also enrolled in an ensemble, the script will find them.
Note: You can perform this search manually in the Students file, but it is a process that enough users do often enough to warrant a quicker method.
The Process
Go to Common Tasks > Quick reports > Tuition : Learning an instrument but not in an ensemble.
The script will take you to the Students List View screen and pause for you to confirm or modify the find request. You will notice that the search criteria has automatically been entered for you. (Current Subjects > 0, Current Ensembles = blank.) If you wish to modify the find request (for example, if you need to specify a Campus), add this data to the request.
Select Continue at the top right of the status area to resume the script.
The records will be found and displayed in preview mode. You can print this list by selecting the Print button in the status area. Select Continue to return to the Common Tasks screen.
If you wish to save the records as an Excel spreadsheet (perhaps to use the data as a Mail Merge source), select Cancel to halt the script. The screen will change to Browse mode and you will be able to see some additional hidden fields (including postal address information).
Select File from the menu at the top of your screen, and then Save/send records as Excel. To return to the Common Tasks screen, select the Close Window button.
