Overview
Music Monitor is built on the Claris FileMaker platform and administrators need to have FileMaker Pro installed to use it. There is web browser access, but it is only supported for the simpler needs of music teachers, not for all the administrative functions.
You will need to do this if you are setting up Music Monitor for the first time.
Users updating from an older version of FileMaker Pro (version 20 or older) will also need this guidance, as it's only from version 21 onward that a full version release can be installed from the inbuilt updater.
Download and Install the Software
Ask your Music Monitor support contact or your IT department for the link to the Claris downloads page.
From the Claris downloads page, you will need to download:
The most recent version of Claris FileMaker Pro for Mac or Windows. (Not FileMaker Server.)
The Licence Certificate
Save the Licence Certificate in a place on your local computer that will be easy to find again in a few minutes.
Open the other download to run the installer and install FileMaker Pro.
At the end of the installation, you will be asked for licence details. Select the "Licence Certificate" option and navigate to where you saved the downloaded Licence Certificate.
To connect the app to your Music Monitor file, see Connect to Music Monitor.
